Parent Literacy Forum

March 15, 2018 @ 6:00 am - 8:00 am

Parents are the first teachers of their children. Many adults with low literacy skills have hopes that their children will not have the same struggles with learning as they experienced. According to the National Institutes of Health, the most important factor in a child’s academic success is the reading level of his or her caregivers.

This forum will explore strategies of how to provide adult learners with the literacy skills they need to be more confident “first teachers” to their children.
