SUMMARY:The Right to Read Documentary Screening
DESCRIPTION:The Right to Literacy – a local collaborative dedicated to achieving a fully literate community that works together to empower all individuals to achieve their full potential – invites you to a free screening of the documentary “The Right to Read” on Wednesday March 8 from 5:30 – 7:30 at the Kalamazoo Public Library in the Van Deusen Room. \nThe Right to Read shares the stories of an activist\, a teacher\, and two American families who fight to provide our youngest generation with the most foundational indicator of life-long sucess: the ability to read. The Right to Read is directed by Jenny Mackenzie and is executive produced by LeVar Burton. \nRSVP: (269) 382-0490 ext. 211 or kjumanne-marshall@kalamazooliteracy.org.
