Parent Literacy Forum

Forum leader: Elizabeth Isidro, Ph.D. 

This forum will explore evidence-based literacy activities for parents that can be used to help improve reading outcomes. Sessions will incorporate objectives and training from the Talking is Teaching: Talk, Read, Sing public awareness and action campaign as well as information and materials from KLC community literacy partners.

Parents are the first teachers of their children, and helping their children read is a critical part of  parenting.  The Parent Literacy forum will also introduce a training model that practitioners can implement when supporting parents as teachers.
