Welcome to the 2019 Adult Literacy Research and Training Symposium!
This event is for anyone who is interested in supporting adult literacy – from experienced volunteer tutors and instructors to individuals who want to learn more about how they can serve this important cause.
During this FREE day-long symposium, attendees will participate in workshops and presentations that explore best practices for adult literacy instruction, across five focus areas: Parent Literacy, Health Literacy, Workplace Literacy, ESL Instruction and Learning Disabilities and Learning Differences. This university-community partnership enhances the growing faculty of tutors, instructors, and supporters who are advancing the status of adult literacy in the region.
